At the Real Club Mediterráneo in Málaga we replaced the grass playing surface by removing the old grass from 2 padel courts and installing new grass on both of them. The new grass chosen by our client was green fibrillated grass from our supplier Mondo, an excellent quality grass.
After the correct installation of the new Mondo grass, it’s very important to add sand and ensure that it’s evenly spread out. In this case, we used white rounded silica sand. But you also have to press the grass after installation so that the sand penetrates better and lasts for longer.
We always advise padel clubs or individuals to carry out preventive maintenance to ensure their padel court grass stays in top condition, as this can help it last longer and in the right state for playing a good game.
