My impressions of Miami Padel Master 2017

Hello everyone, today I want to tell you about my experience with the World Padel Tour in our first international of the season at the Miami Padel Master 2017 with Alvaro Cepero as my partner.

The experience of coming to USA with WPT for the first time was incredible. It’s a huge joy after so many years of Padel to see the growth and expansion that we are experiencing.

We knew that being an outdoor tournament, one of the main objectives would be to adapt quickly to the track. To this we had to add the high temperatures and the strong wind. Of course, it is an advantage to know that the padel court was a Manzasport one.

The first match was very difficult because the rivals took the first set and we had to come back. But really, the second match was one of the hardest of my career. The very high temperatures that we suffered made every point we won a victory. I can’t remember ever having suffered so much on a padel court.

The third match against the number 3 pair in the world was very special. We came back from a match where my partner played at a really high level and I just accompanied him to get into our first semifinal of the year.

And there we were at the Miami Padel Masters 2017 in the semifinal, this match could be defined as struggle, emotion and overcoming. We played the semifinal with Paquito and Sanyo, a pair that currently have level 1 pair, and faced the match with a point more courage than us in some of the most important moments of the match. Anyway, we were able to take the match to the third set, after lifting several match points.

Sincerely, I think we should be satisfied with the level reached in the tournament and the fact that our work is gradually bearing fruit.
