For the second time, Manzasport takes padel to Greece. We were delighted to revisit the country for the installation of 5 padel courts in a club surrounded by an idyllic setting, right on the beach itself. Padel is undoubtedly doubly attractive if it’s played on the beach.
At the Greek Padel Academy we carried out the manufacture and subsequent installation of 5 padel courts.
The clients chose the metal structure in blue for the 5 padel courts, honouring the club’s colours, which are also the national colours of Greece.
Four Model Pro padel courts were installed, with blue structure and blue monofilament grass, except for one that was installed with pink monofilament grass. In this club they have a sharp eye for detail, so silica sand of the same colour as the grass was used for the infill. This was fuchsia pink in the case of pink grass and blue in the case of blue grass. This means the grass colour isn’t lost, as when it’s mixed with white sand, the colour tends to fade. The characteristics of the silica sand are 0.2-0.8 mm thick and rounded. The tempered glass used is 10 mm thick.
A panoramic padel court was also installed at the Greek Padel Academy Club, which acts as a centre court and has a blue structure and blue grass. The sand used for the grass infill is 0.2-0.8 mm thick blue rounded silica sand. The tempered glass used is 12 mm thick.
Led lighting was chosen for the padel courts, with 8 spotlights fitted on each court.
If you visit Athens and want to play padel tennis, you can visit either of the two clubs where we have installed padel courts.
