Voting for the World Padel Awards 2016 is open, and it ends tomorrow December 10, so you can still vote for your favorites. But today we want to introduce you to last year’s winners.
The winner of the Male Player category was Pablo Lima, the current No. 1 on the World Padel Tour ranking, partner of Fernando Belasteguin, a Brazilian living in Barcelona. And in the Female Player category, the winner was Alejandra Salazar, current number one in the World Padel Tour women’s rankings and partner of Marta Marrero.
As Best Coach of 2015, was awarded Miguel Ciorilli, coach of the two couples No. 1 in the World and the current coach of several couples participating in the World Padel Tour professional circuit. And as a Revelation Player, Frank Stupachuk, Marcelo Jardim’s partner and No. 15 on the World Padel Tour rankings.
The Best Amateur Circuit went to Estrella Damm Circuit, and the Solidarity Padel award went to the Real Madrid Foundation.
Best ball – Head Pro, Best shoes – Asics Bela Gel 5SG.
Best club – Sanset Padel Indoor and Best racket – Starvie with its Brava 9.1 model.
Best point for Fede Quiles and a special mention for Neki Berwig, a professional player in Spain from 2000 to 2008, couple number 2 of the Spanish professional rankings in 2001 and the World Couples Champion 2002 in Mexico.
